Curation notes#

Identity VALIDATED by the library. Printed pp. 785-850; pages cited are pdf pages.

IDEAL GAS AND CONSTANTS: R = 8.314472 J/(mol K) (p. 5). The ideal-gas heat capacity (Eq. 10, p. 5) is c_p0/R = c0 + sum_k v_k (u_k/T)^2 exp(u_k/T)/(exp(u_k/T) - 1)^2. Krypton: M = 83.798 g/mol, c0 = 5/2 and no Einstein terms, 115.77-750 K, 200 MPa. Xenon: M = 131.293, c0 = 5/2, 161.4-750 K, 700 MPa. Nitrous oxide: M = 44.0128, c0 = 3.5, (v, u/K) = (2.1769, 879.0), (1.6145, 2372.0), (0.48393, 5447.0), 182.33-525 K, 50 MPa. Carbon monoxide: M = 28.0101. No uncertainty of c_p0 is stated.

AGAINST COOLPROP 8.0.0 (reference key Lemmon-JCED-2006): the same M, R and ideal parts; for nitrous oxide Eq. (10) with these constants equals CoolProp’s c_p0 to 2e-16 at 200, 294 and 500 K (computed 2026-09-30).

Recorded bibliographic identity status: VALIDATED. This concerns identification of the source; it does not establish the scientific correctness of its contents.
