The NIR pulse has a central wavelength of 760 nm with a Gaussian envelope \(FWHM 4\.5 fs\)\. The attosecond pulse has a Gaussian envelope \(FWHM 250 as\) and a central photon energy of 61 eV\.' The RMT code 'does not have capability for double ionisation, and so the simulated results become less reliable at higher NIR intensities' \(p\. 4\)\. The authors' archive \(Zenodo 10\.5281/zenodo\.6683951, cited as their ref\. \[36\]\) holds the RMT input \(archer\_files/input\.conf\: the ground state's energy set to \-0\.444 au, Adjust\_GS\_Energy; the field read from a file; Final\_T 3000 au; ml\_max 0; 512 inner and 1920 outer processes; DeltaR 0\.08; absorb\_desired\), the fields RMT wrote, the dipoles, and the ground\-state population at the end of each run\. **Materials in structured entries:** Xe **Dataset quantities:** ground\_state\_survival **Contents:** 2 datasets; 0 formulas. Curation notes -------------- Journal pp\. 245601\-1 to \-9 = PDF pages 3 to 11 \(the PDF has two cover pages\: journal page n is PDF page n \+ 2\)\. Identity checked on PDF p\. 3 \(received 27 June 2022, revised 22 September 2022, accepted 7 October 2022, published 18 November 2022\); open access, CC BY 4\.0\. Curated 2026\-10\-12 \(TC\-1059\)\. TAKEN \(tools/extract/hartmann\_2022\.py, from the authors' archive attached to the paper in the library, ATAS\_xenon\-v1\.1\.zip, sha256 baac753d\.\.\.\)\: RMT's population of xenon's ground state at the end of the run, data/rmt/gs\_pop\.csv, at seven NIR intensities, 1\.1 to 2\.5e14 W/cm2\. The paper draws it in Fig\. 5\(a\) \('Xe\_sim \.\.\. the neutral ground\-state population extracted from the simulations', p\. 6\) and prints no number\. The archive's archer\_files/get\_pop\_GS\.sh takes the last line of pop\_GS in the run with the XUV 5\.75 fs from the NIR; its README\: 'a single time delay is chosen because the population agrees to ~6s\.f\. across the time delays'\. THE PULSE, from the fields RMT wrote \(data/rmt/field\\.csv, every column, every intensity; the script fits them and fails otherwise\)\: E\(t\) = E0 exp\(\-\(\(t \- t0\)/w\)^2\) cos\(omega \(t \- t0\)\), omega = 0\.06 au \(759\.4 nm; the paper's '760 nm'\), w = 186 au, a cosine carrier \(CEP 0\), t0 = 900 au plus the delay, E0 = 0\.05336 sqrt\(I / 1e14 W/cm2\) au \(the convention of archer\_files/gaussian\.f90\), all to 1e\-6; away from the XUV the fit leaves at most 2e\-10 au\. The paper's 'FWHM 4\.5 fs' is w = 186 au = 4\.499 fs, the 1/e half\-width of the field; the intensity's full width at half maximum is w sqrt\(2 ln 2\) = 219\.0 au = 5\.297 fs \(2\.09 cycles\)\. The archived gaussian\.f90 is not the generator of these fields\: it sets omega = 0\.06798 au \(670 nm\) and w = 155 au\. The experiment's 4\.5 fs is a measured FWHM \(d\-scan, p\. 2\), a different pulse\. With E0 = sqrt\(I / 3\.50945e16 W/cm2\) au the labels would be 0\.076 % lower in intensity \(0\.05336 against 0\.053380 au at 1e14\)\. The XUV \(2\.05 au, w = 7 au, 0\.2e14 W/cm2\) is in every run; the README's agreement across delays shows it does not move the ground\-state population\. THE MEASURE\: the population of the field\-free ground state of the neutral atom at t = 2999\.81 au, the run's last line; the NIR peaks at 900 au plus or minus the delay of 5\.75 fs \(237\.7 au\), so 1862 or 2338 au \(45 or 57 fs\) earlier\: which side is not settled by the archive \(builddirs\.sh and the field files' column labels disagree on the sign\), and is immaterial by the README's statement\. Its complement is depletion\: ionisation and excitation together\. The paper's Fig\. 5\(a\) compares it with the measured abundance of neutral xenon\. TAKEN TOO \(TC\-1094\)\: the experiment's relative abundance of neutral xenon \(data/experimental/gs\_pop\.csv, pop\_xe0; Fig\. 5\(a\)\), 'estimations based on the line strength and cross sections' of the neutral's 4d^10 \- 4d5/2^\-1 6p transition \(the caption\), normalised with Xe\+ and Xe2\+ to one, at ten peak intensities 'inferred from average beam power with an uncertainty of up to 11%' \(p\. 4\), in the measured 4\.5 fs pulse \(d\-scan, p\. 2\)\. The paper\: 'this estimated abundance of Xe\+ in the experimental results agrees well with the values extracted directly from the RMT calculations, although there is a systematic overestimation in the simulations' \(p\. 4\)\. Not stated\: the delay at which the abundances were read, the polarisation, and the distribution of the NIR's intensity over the XUV\-probed volume\. NOT TAKEN\: the Xe\+ and Xe2\+ abundances \(no quantity for a charge\-state fraction\), the line\-shape parameters and dipoles \(no quantity\)\. USE\: a many\-electron calculation of xenon's depletion in a stated pulse, for a one\-electron calculation in the same field and with the same measure \(part N of the tRecX runs\)\: optmat's xenon N\_eff otherwise rests on one measurement \(Wallace et al\.\)\. **Recorded bibliographic identity status:** VALIDATED.
